About this trip
Explore all of the wonders of beautiful Oregon on this epic 4-day adventure! We will begin our adventure in Bend, Oregon where we will raft the Deschutes river, visit breweries, and drive scenic byways. Also, we will visit Crater Lake where we will stop at multiple viewpoints to take in all the views of the lake then do a hike to the top of a peak to get an even more magnificent view.

Activity Level – Moderate
This trip includes a mixture of hiking, rafting, and biking so an average level of fitness is required. Please make sure you can at least hike a 30 minute mile so we can keep the group on time and together while on the trails. Weather
August in Bend and Crater Lake is typically warm, sunny, and ideal for outdoor adventure. Bend usually sees daytime temperatures in the upper 70s to mid-80s with cool, comfortable mornings and evenings thanks to the high desert climate. Crater Lake is noticeably cooler because of the elevation, often ranging from the 50s to low 70s, so layering is important. Rain is uncommon in August, and the long daylight hours make it a perfect time for hiking, lake activities, scenic drives, and sunset views.

Sneak Peek Trip Details
Day 1 - Arrive in Bend
Fly into Redmond & Drive to Bend
Flights will arrive in Redmond in the afternoon and we will begin our trip with a short drive to Bend, Oregon. Once we are there we will check into our accommodations and then have time to explore the quaint town of Bend.

Day 2 -Adventure in Bend
Bike, Rafting & Chill in Bend
We will start the day with a hearty breakfast before we start the day’s adventures! Once we are fueled for the day we will take a leisurely bike ride along the Deschutes River Trail. During the bike ride we will see Bend’s Old Mill District, many parks within Bend, and endless beautiful scenery.
After the bike ride, we will refuel with some lunch at a local restaurant before heading on our next adventure of rafting the Deschutes River! You’ll experience the thrill of Deschutes whitewater with a super fun 3.5 hour raft trip that covers 13-miles and includes multiple class III rapids including Boxcar rapid and class IV Oaks Springs rapid.
We will finish the day with a causal dinner in Bend.

Day 3 -Crater Lake
Enjoy Views of Crater Lake & Hike
Start they day by enjoying the scenic 2.5 hour drive to Crater Lake. Once we near Crater Lake we will begin along the Rim Drive which showcases several viewpoints of the lake, which we will be sure to stop at for some photo opportunities and to have a delicious picnic lunch. Later, we will embark on a hike near Crater Lake to achieve even greater views of the lake.
After we have seen the lake from every angle we will start our voyage back to Bend where we will have a farewell dinner and reflect on all of the memories we have made during this epic adventure.

Day 4 - Farewell to Bend
Brunch in Bend, Visit Shops & Departures
Today we soak up the last of the Bend, Oregon magic with a lovely brunch and some last-minute exploring of the town. In the early afternoon we will depart for the airport and say goodbye.
