About this trip
This bucket-list adventure begins in Cape Town, South Africa with 3 full days of experiencing all of the must-see attractions, including swimming with the penguins, climbing Lion’s Head, taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, visiting wineries, and so much more!
Then we will fly to the Greater Kruger National Park to stay in luxury lodges for 3 nights in the Timbivati Private Game Reserve where we will be treated like queens and see the Big 5 plus so much more! Keep scrolling to find the itinerary which includes all the details!
This trip is limited to 10 Chicas (women-only adventure), so don’t delay! We are happy to set up a custom payment plan that works for your budget!

Important Notes
Activity Level – Moderate to Hard
We will be doing two moderate-level hikes (2-3 miles each) in the Cape Town area. Guests should be in good physical health to fully enjoy this experience. These hikes are not mandatory and you can choose to opt out of them.
Weather
Weather in South Africa and Zimbabwe in April is spectacular. This is their Fall season where rainfall decreases and the weather is cool and pleasant. The nights average 65 degrees F and the days average 86 degrees F. Perfect weather for exploring these beautiful countries and enjoying all of the outdoor activities!

Day 0-Arrive Cape Town
April 20 – Plan your flights to arrive in Cape Town
Day 1 - Cape Town Tour
Apr 21 – Cape Town City Tour & Table Mountain
Today we will do all of the must sees of Cape Town, including a cable car up to the top of one of the 7 Wonders of Nature – Table Mountain. We will visit the colorful area of Bo-Kaap and a city tour to see all the highlights. We will finish out our evening with a Welcome to Cape Town dinner at the Waterfront.

Day 2 - Hike & Wineries
Apr 22 – Sunrise hike & Segway wine farm tour

Day 3 - Penguins & More
April 23 – Penguins, sea views, hiking to Cape Point, and more!
Today is going to be a long day, but you are guaranteed to love it. We will drive along a scenic roadway to Cape Point to hike the Cape of Good Hope, which is the southwestern most point of Africa. The views on this hike are awe-inspiring!
Next, we will make our way to see the the endangered penguins at Boulders Bay. You’ll love viewing them from the boardwalks and then we will take a dip in the water to swim with the penguins1 This day is sure to bring all the feels with the cute penguins and the majestic views.
In the evening we will celebrate our time in Cape Town with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Days 4-8 - Safari Camp
Apr 24-27 – Safari Camp with morning and evening game drives
Add-On Victoria Falls
Optional 3 day Add-on to Victoria Falls (Apr 28-30)
Cost: $2200
Includes 1 night lodging in Cape Town for the night of April 27-28, with airport transfers included.
On April 28th, you will fly to Victoria Falls and be greeted at the airport by a local guide who will transport the group to the hotel. In the evening you will enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River where you will spot crocs and hippos and maybe a passing by giraffe or elephant.
On April 28th, you will have a walking tour of Victoria Falls, viewing its majesty from multiple angles. You are sure to get a cooling, soaking spray from the Falls on the walk! You’ll have some time in the afternoon to explore the shops and restaurants of Victoria Falls. In the evening, you will be treated to a Boma Drum dinner with local food and music and dancing.
On April 30th, you will depart Victoria Falls and return to Cape Town for your flight home (or beyond!). We will arrive in Cape Town around 4:30pm, so plan your connecting flights accordingly – we suggest anytime after 7:00pm.

4-star accommodations at Cape Town hotel and luxury modern huts at the safari lodge. Double-occupancy (if you are traveling solo, we will pair you with another Chica). Single room available for fee.
Private Van Transport
Transportation provided to all excursions in Cape Town. Airport transfers also included.
Tips for Local Guides
Generous tips are provided for all LOCAL guides and drivers. Tips for the Chicas Abroad tour leader are optional and at your discretion.
Safari Game Drives
Twice daily game drives to seek out the beautiful African animals and capture amazing photos. Prepare to be amazed!

All meals included as indicated in the itinerary. We can accommodate dietary restrictions.

Flights within Africa
Roundtrip flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit (Kruger) are included in registration fee. Victoria Falls add-on: Roundtrip flight from Cape Town to Victoria Falls included in registration fee.

International Flights
Book your flights to arrive in Cape Town by April 20 (arrive anytime this day) and depart Cape Town on April 27 after 7:00pm or April 30 after 7:00pm (if you are doing the Victoria Falls add-on)
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommend to cover any unforeseen events. Chicas Abroad will provide you with a link to our recommended carrier upon booking, but you may choose any carrier.
Alcoholic Beverages
Alcoholic drinks are at your own expense, with the exception of the included beer/wine at the Kruger safari camp.
