Highlights
Activity Level – Moderate to Hard
Each day we will be walking 9-15 miles with several breaks for food, water, coffee, and taking in the scenery. There will be a total of 6 days walking so it is crucial that you have a comfortable pair of walking shoes/boots and maybe even a spare set of shoes in case you start to get blisters. The trail has varied terrain through forests, farmland, and old towns. There are not huge changes in elevation but be prepared for some uphill and downhill along the route. Luggage transfer is included each day so you will only have to hike with a day pack.
Weather
September is known to be a pleasant month to travel to Northern Spain. During this time, you have a mixture of summer warmth and autumn freshness and temperatures range between 50-74 degrees F. We will be trekking through the north of Spain which is more temperate than the south so we can expect the nights and early mornings to be chilly and then have warmer temperatures during the day. Rain is always a possibility so be sure to pack a rain coat and waterproof shoes.
Money & Tipping
All the excursions listed in the itinerary are included. Bring cash/credit cards for purchasing souvenirs, additional snacks/meals, alcoholic drinks, extra activities, and other items. You can either order Euros from your bank at home or use an ATM on arrival in Spain to get some cash.
All gratuities are included with the exception of those for your Chicas Abroad tour leader. Tipping the Chicas Abroad tour leader is optional and not included in the price of your adventure.
Packing List
A custom packing list will be emailed out a few months prior to departure.
Are you ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime?
